Forest Master FM10T-7 7-ton electric hydraulic log splitter with stand
Forest Master FM10T-7 log splitter is the perfect machine for splitting your green or seasoned wood. Equipped with a 2200-watt motor the machine reaches 7 tons of force with ease. The FM10T-7 is twice as efficient, due to the pre-fitted DUOBLADE and with the pre-fitted Ram Stop it can save you time. The supplied stand allows you to bring the machine up to a working height, this removes the need to lean over or kneel down.
Featuring two-hand operation and supplied with the workbench and safety guard, using a log splitter has never been safer, once attached the safety guard allows you to split logs and contain them, this prevents any debris from leaving the cage, in turn greatly reducing the risk of injury. The safety guard is also different from other designs, by removing the holes on the sides, the possibility of a log damaging the guard is greatly reduced. This also means that the log splitter meets the latest safety standards.

Advantage of the DUOBLADE
The DUOBLADE allows the log to be split from both ends, this doubles the splitting capacity of the log splitter, meaning it can tackle wood that a normal 7-ton machine can’t do. When splitting the log sometimes the blade may encounter a knot, if this happens with the FM10T-7 the other blade takes over and splits the log, if a traditional log splitter does this, it could jam the machine, and you will have to free the log before continuing.
Advantage of the Ram Stop
When splitting smaller logs, the Ram Stop allows you to control the return distance of the DUOBLADE so that shorter logs can be split faster.
Advantage of the Stand
Using the stand allows you to work while standing up, as the stand is 740mm* tall, this means the bed of the log splitter is 860mm* off the ground, so there is little or no leaning required. The stand can be removed and dismantled for storage.

This is the first time I have purchased and used a hydraulic log splitter. After one use I am convinced that I should have bought one a long time ago.
The machine performs extremely well with any size or type of log and is highly efficient and easy to use. The stand makes working with the machine very comfortable and safe, with no need to bend over the motor section to operate the switch.
My only criticism is the ram-stop screw which works loose and needs regular re-adjustment to keep it in place. I intend replacing the turn screw with a bolt which can be tightened properly.
All in all a very well made and solid piece of equipment which makes the job of log splitting so much easier.

I didn’t bother erecting the stand but sat on a log feeding the machine from one side and stacking the logs on the other – bit like a gnome I suppose but quite efficient, as was the splitter tho the ash and elm that I was logging seemed to tear, I kept wishing the feeder had further travel to close with the fixed end. However I spent an enjoyable couple of hours piling up a considerable pile, many au more than I’d have done with an axe, no exercise tho, just pressing a button an lever

Splitter arrived with cosmetic damage, probably done in transit but after one 📞 replacement part arrived next day.. .Once assembled splitter worked flawlessly. Unless you’re commercial op full safety cage is overkill. Previous machine , same motor different frame lasted 20 years, motor seized eventually when left in damp . Initial impression table top great but backstop is brilliant time saver. H&Safety only reason not 5*. 👻

This is a good solid log splitter. Instructions for assembly are poor but can be worked out with a little patience and a call to the technical support team. Would be better if the moving arm of the splitter had more travel as often knotty logs do not split completely and are left on the fixed head. Can be sorted by putting a log crossways across the grain behind the log you wish to split. I would advise face and eye protection as logs can occasionaly go flying some distance (or use the provided safety cage) All in all I am very pleased with the performance. Note that the unit is heavy and you may need help to lift it unless you are very strong.
