Forest Master FM10TW-7 7-ton electric hydraulic log splitter with stand and castor wheels
Forest Master FM10TW-7 log splitter is the perfect machine for splitting your green or seasoned wood. Equipped with a 2200 watt motor the machine reaches 7 tons of force with ease. The FM10TW-7 is twice as efficient, due to the pre-fitted DUOBLADE and with the pre-fitted Ram Stop it can save you time. The supplied stand allows you to bring the machine up to a working height, this removes the need to lean over or kneel down, with the added castor wheels moving your log splitter has never been easier.
Featuring two-hand operation and supplied with the workbench and safety guard, using a log splitter has never been safer, once attached the safety guard allows you to split logs and contain them, this prevents any debris leaving the cage, in turn greatly reducing the risk of injury. The safety guard is also different from other designs, by removing the holes on the sides, the possibility of a log damaging the guard is greatly reduced. This also means that the log splitter meets the latest safety standards.
Forest Master offers a lifetime technical help service, should you need advice, with your Forest Master log splitter, you can call them or email them at no cost.

Advantages of the DUOBLADE
The DUOBLADE allows the log to be split from both ends, this doubles the splitting capacity of the log splitter, meaning it can tackle wood that a normal 7-ton machine can’t do. When splitting the log sometimes the blade may encounter a knot, if this happens with the FM10TW-7 the other blade takes over and splits the log, if a traditional log splitter does this, it could jam the machine, and you will have to free the log before continuing.
Advantages of the Ram Stop
When splitting smaller logs, the Ram Stop allows you to control the return distance of the DUOBLADE so that shorter logs can be split faster.
Advantages of the Stand with Castor Wheels
Using the stand allows you to work while standing up, as the stand is 740mm* tall, this means the bed of the log splitter is 860mm* off the ground, so there is little or no bending over required. The stand can be removed and dismantled for storage. The added feature of castor wheels means that you can move the log splitter without lifting the front, which weighs between 16kg and 18kg, once you have the log splitter in place you simply lock the front wheels.

^Forest Master will extend the warranty to 2 years, if you complete and return the Warranty Registration card supplied with the log splitter

Excellent product and cerainly does the job. I have now been using for the past 3 days without any problems. The only gripe I have is the confusion within the instructions for the assembly of the stand and the size of the bolts supplied to secure.

Preorder discussion was very helpful to select the right item.
Next day delivery by very polite and helpful team.
Splitter is quite easy to hande and very capable of splitting both seasoned and unseasoned hard wood logs with many logs.

Does just what is says on the tin. Splits seasoned beech and oak with no effort. One stroke of the machine does what would take me 2 or 3 strokes of the axe. A real back saver and three times as quick. 5 Star rating from me.

Log splitter came within a few days of order with very good info from the carrier.
Had to make contact about a missing part but that was delivered within 24 hours. I did everything on line and the service was excellent.
The machine is magic. Can’t imagine how I managed without it. It is just like the saying “knife through butter”
I would highly recommend the machine and the company.

As an engineer I am always sceptical about claims that the twin wedge action doubles the splitting force to 14 ton – it certainly accommodates any difficulties should they occur at one end of the Log.
It has been well designed and fabricated and should last many a Seasons

Great product, easy enough to assemble; though you will need decent spanners and large allen key.
Prompt delivery, good price.
Would definitely recommend.
One slightly weird thing. The box it comes in has a label telling you not to accept delivery if the box shows any sign of damage. However, the box and it’s polystyrene will inevitably be damaged due to the weight of the kit. The carrier will not let you open the box until you have signed for it.
The driver also needed help unloading it; so good job I was in.

Delivery was quick, two days.
Assembly was easy no problems, Very impressed so far.
Build quality is excellent.
I have a pile of sawn wood that is full of knots, I had give up trying to split is and was going to burn it, the splitter made light work of it.
Wish I has got one sooner, quicker safer and far easier than using an axe.
Great bit of kit.

Delivered on time. Not too difficult to assemble but would recommend assistance due to the weight.
Having just had a couple of large trees cut I decided to purchase this machine since I did not fancy logging the tree with my axe.
To date I have been most impressed with the performance of this log splitter.
Money well spent!

Hi, I’m very pleased with the log splitter, just wanting to know one thing if someone could is there any adapter to split 4ways? Many thanks

The purchasing process was easy and seamless and the log splitter was well packaged. The only gripe I had was that there was no communication on the date and timing of delivery. The log splitter turned up this morning whilst I was away from the house. The saving grace was that the wonderful delivery driver helped my wife to get the boxes into our garden before the heavens opened!

I ordered the splitter on a Friday and it was delivered on Monday. The splitter deals with the biggest lumps of wood that I have. The assembly instructions have been criticised by others but I think they must have been improved because they are very clearly written.

Hi David, I received my log splitter today, order No. 33682 and started to open main box this evening.
Sorry to be in touch with you (don’t know who to contact) but as one of your colleges suggested it was best to fill with oil at same time as building stand.
When I opened oil fill dip stick filler it wasn’t that easy to remove not to hard but not that free 🤔
Only to find dip stick nut threads were full of metal filings + see photos of threads + some of bits of metal.
I am not to happy with what I see + I’m sure some of the metal bits fell into ram.
So I’ve stopped putting together as I don’t think this is right
Please see photos
I will phone in morning to see way forward.
Sorry and not to happy
James Corbett

I assembled the stand onto the log splitter last night and I must say, whoever designed the stand wasn’t thinking of the person who needed to assemble it. You have to be a contortionist to locate some of the hex head nuts and then hold them whilst tightening. Similarly the two castors have hex heads, but these were poorly machined, so spanner slipped, plus, when you tighten with standard open-ended spanner, this gets trapped between castor and foot, as it tightens. You need a very thin, non-standard spanner. In my case, I used the castellations on the underside of the castors and with a flat bladed screwdriver, purchased on these to turn the castor clockwise and tighten it. Not ideal, as screwdriver could have slipped.

Early tests are fantastic, does what it says it should. Workbench helps, and the stand with castors helps move it across the garage floor yet does not budge an inch when in use.

I found a return note in mine stating it had been sent back by someone

The reason for ordering the FM10TW-7 7ton was: I had a log around 18″ in dia. and length, which I swung the axe at with full force. It bounced off. I’ve never experienced this before.
After setting up the log splitter, the first task was to test it on this log. It just kept going into the log when suddenly the log split with the crack of a 12bore and shot out around three meters from the end of the splitter.
Worth every penny.
