Estate 38 Large Car Dog Cage
Our folding car dog cage is the only one specially designed for estate and 4×4 style cars. The unique sloped design, part of a European Community Registered Design, helps the dog cage fit within the boot of your car while maximising the boot space available. A standard dog cage that is not designed for a car has several drawbacks for car use including, front opening doors that do not open past the lip of the boot and the rectangular shape can impede the closure of the hatchback and risk cracking or smashing the rear window.
Our cages can be used outside of the car, they can be used around the home or in offices or anywhere else, this can provide your dog with a place to rest after a long walk or even have their afternoon nap if they are feeling tired. Having a cage around the home or office, also allows your dog to get used to the cage, this provides a feeling of comfort and safety to your dog while inside the cage.

Good crate. Found it easy to assemble and fitted my Mazda 6 Estate (2009) beautifully. Didn’t rattle as much as I expected and big enough for a decent sized lab. Only criticism would be the tray, which being fabric offers no cushioning from the bars below. There is a mat supplied but the bars. An still be felt below this. I’ve made mine more comfortable by putting an offcut of carpet under the tray

Bought this for my 2009 Skoda fabia estate, which it fitted the boot well. The only issue was that the boot lip was too high for the cage doors to open. Lifted the cage on two blocks of wood, which allowed doors to open. I have a medium size whippet x collie x staffie, there is plenty of room for him to lie down in the cage, but little head room when sitting. Very quickly dispatched.

Happy with the purchase – tight fit,would think it was tailor made (Estate Large cage) for my Mercedes C-class estate 2015, had to remove & trim my boot liner but it was only plastic so no issue really and the rear cover had to go too. Perfect for the dogs – good size with growing room. Can use it as a temporary cage when visiting others as well. Rattles a little but not fitted the rubber anti-vibro fittings supplied. Really needs a solid base, mat and blanket thin and wire will be uncomfortable for long journeys. A piece of neoprene foam will work and is waterproof, cheap and washable.
