Pet World Medium Car Dog Guard
The Pet World car dog guard is designed to fit cars with adjustable rear headrests. The new wire mesh dog guard’s main frame is made from 6mm steel with a powder coated finish. The guard consists of two mesh panels which can be adjusted to the width of your car. Additionally the vertical position of the mesh can be adjusted.
Designed to fit the head rest pillars you can put the dog guard on either the front or the rear seats. Once fitted there is no need to remove. When used on the front seats, an additional front panel can be purchased separately that stops your dog squeezing below the mesh and getting between the seats.
The dog guard is very sturdy, secure and has been designed to keep even the most determined dogs in the back. These dog guards are not to be confused with the cheap ones on the market, these are a quality dog guard made from a thicker metal.
Highway Code rule 57 requires that when traveling in a vehicle dogs or other animals are suitably restrained so they cannot distract you or cause injury to you, or themselves, in the event that you have to stop quickly. You can ensure that you are transporting your pet safely by using a seat belt harness, pet carrier, dog crate or dog guard.

Before ordering it is important to determine the correct size, in order to do this please measure across your rear seats, or front seats, then compare the measurement against the sizing guide below:
For seats up to 1059mm in length purchase the small guard
For seats up to 1299mm in length purchase the medium guard
For seats larger than 1300mm in length purchase the large guard

Solidly made and good value. However, I have a Citroen C5 Tourer and therefore chose the middle sized unit, but unfortunately the unit is a bit too large. It fits (just) but I wish I had got the smaller size.

The Dog Guard itself is very robust and the size was prefect. I have a Ford Fiesta and went for a Medium. It’s very straight forward to put together and simple to install. All the fixing are metal cast so it should hopefully last me a long time. Very pleased with the product and service.

very fast delivery. was missing a nut and bolt but fortunately I found a suitable one my garage so able to fit. takes a couple of attempts to get exact fit but once adjusted just do the bolts up tight as per instructions and bingo – one very sturdy dog guard. now, just a couple of turns of the allen key supplied and it pops off from the headrests and just a couple of minutes (if that) to fix back again. easy-peasy. fitted to 08 mk6 (h) Vauxhall astra estate. perfect.

Was very happy with the product, and the delivery was nice and easy as I was sent a 1 hour slot. My only comment would be to installation, it was very difficult to do as instructions weren’t very clear and ended up taking a good 2 hours to do. Well made, doesn’t rattle when I’m driving. Was a bit fiddly to put together but with patience and reference to photos on the website I managed it. Medium fits in my ford ranger but is not entirely straight (think it’s the car not the guard) but it keeps my Belgian Shepherd from getting in the front. Just a note about the front panel it comes with… I had to put it on back to front as it just swings if I had it the other way but apart from that I am happy with it. Definitely would recommend.
