36″ Folding Hatchback Car Dog Cage
Our folding car dog cage is the only one specially designed for hatchback and estate type cars. The unique sloped design, part of a European Community Registered Design, helps the dog cage fit within the boot of your car while maximising the boot space available. A standard dog cage that is not designed for a car has several drawbacks for car use including, front opening doors that do not open past the lip of the boot and the rectangular shape can impede the closure of the hatchback and risk cracking or smashing the rear window.
Our cages can be used outside of the car, they can be used around the home or in offices or anywhere else, this can provide your dog with a place to rest after a long walk or even have their afternoon nap if they are feeling tired. Having a cage around the home or office, also allows your dog to get used to the cage, this provides a feeling of comfort and safety to your dog while inside the cage.

Cage exactly as described and the 36 inch DOES (just) fit a Rover 200. Good size for a border collie and cleverly designed for a hatchback. Matting good, though the bars beneath are not fully cushioned and a second covering will be needed. Instructions for assembly not at all clear, buy cushioning rubbers appreciated. Delivery very good indeed.

Crate was very easy to order and arrived as promised the next day. Although initially concerned about the size and fit of the 36″ version, with a bit of juggling, the crate fits very snugly into the boot area of my wife’s Mk 7 VW 2.0 Ltr. Golf. The sliding door is ideal for hatchback vehicles, allowing easy access. Although our Labrador puppy is small at present, the crate will easily accommodate her when she is fully grown. Will take a view on whether the vibration rubbers are required after a few trips.

After quite a long search for an appropriate cage to suit my dogs needs and fit in the small boot of my car, I decide to buy this one. It was delivered today and fits perfectly (not an inch to spare though, which is fine) into the boot of my 10 year old, 3 door, Fiat Punto, more importantly it also the perfect size for my adult border collie (she’s a medium build). The design and features of the cage have made it exactly what I was looking for and also comes with a blanket which is a nice bouns as many don’t. I have take my dog on a short car ride to test it and it has already calmed her behaviour considerably – plus she can easily get in and out due to the design of the door. Before I but it in the car i left it in the house for a bit for her to get used to the smell and sight of the cage and within half and hour I found her curled up asleep in it – I think she likes it. Order system and delivery were also really good. I would recommend measuring your dog and boot carefully to get the correct size. Thank you – you’ve made my dog transportation a lot easier!

Very impressed with delivery. The cage arrived less than 24 hours from ordering. Also this cage is much better than other ones purchased from alternative retailers, more robust with a good base. It fits the Land Rover Discover Sport with room for shopping, well. Just a bit worried about our three month old puppy digging his way out of the base of the cage which is made of soft material. So far it has contained him after cutting up some carpet to fit the base.

Bought to go in a Kia e Niro (just fits!) and hold two cocker spaniels. Plus point – I like the sliding door. Only downside to this crate is that you can feel the bars at the bottom, even through the supplied cushion, so I’m considering putting a piece of board in the bottom of the crate.

Cage is robust enough & a perfect size, the only disappointment is the base. Whilst a waterproof covering & a thin mattress are supplied, both are so thin that the metal bars of the base protrude through them which would make for a very uncomfortable journey for any animal.

The cage fits perfectly into my boot space, however it is not as well constructed as I thought it would be, it rattles about when the car is in motion. I’ve had to secure the door with bull dog clips to stop this. Also the website indicates that a £10 refund would be given if a photo of the cage in my boot was sent in. I’ve done this twice, had an acknowledgement that the photo has been received, but no refund. I think this statement on the website is misleading and should be removed.
