34″ Folding Hatchback Car Dog Cage
Our folding car dog cage is the only one specially designed for hatchback and estate type cars. The unique sloped design, part of a European Community Registered Design, helps the dog cage fit within the boot of your car while maximising the boot space available. A standard dog cage that is not designed for a car has several drawbacks for car use including, front opening doors that do not open past the lip of the boot and the rectangular shape can impede the closure of the hatchback and risk cracking or smashing the rear window.
Our cages can be used outside of the car, they can be used around the home or in offices or anywhere else, this can provide your dog with a place to rest after a long walk or even have their afternoon nap if they are feeling tired. Having a cage around the home or office, also allows your dog to get used to the cage, this provides a feeling of comfort and safety to your dog while inside the cage.

Excellent for the boot of my Audi A3. No room for a suitcase but can get it in and out easily. My big cocker spaniel dog fits in with enough room to stand, sit and turn round. Sliding door means it can be opened easily, although the door rattles a little (easily solved with a bungee rope thing).
A little flimsy, but lightweight so easy to lift. Excellent purchase for the car.

The cage we purchased is a very good fit for the boot of our BMW218. We are able to have the seats in the rear in their normal position, in fact we could have had the larger cage(36″), but you didn’t have any in stock. The product is very good quality and my only criticism is that the sliding door rattles a lot on any poor road surface. It might benefit from two door bolts, otherwise we are very happy with our purchase. The cage holds both our tibetan terrier and tibetan cross bichon with enough headroom for them to sit up and space for them to turn around or lie down.

The pet crate is just what we wanted. It fits in the back of my Seat Leon 64 plate perfectly, and Bran seems to have lots of room to move around. He cannot chew the seats or upholstery and it is so easy to get him in and out of the sliding door. The pen does rattle a bit but we are working on a method of tightening the catch and door.

First class customer service, and easy order procedure. Telephone help with product selection was just what I needed. However, although the cage fitted my A3 Sportback perfectly, it was too small for my Flatcoat retriever. It would be fine for a spaniel or beagle, but not a larger animal. When the larger breed sits up, the narrow top section does not allow free movement.
Unfortunately, the next size of cage designed for hatchbacks will not fit into an A3 so I have had to return tha CDC34 for refund. I hope the service with this is as good as it was for purchase.

Excellent crate, super fast delivery, arrived the next day, fits perfectly in my Ford Ecosport, the sliding door is great, much better than the doors that open out when using in the car boot, the waterproof base is a really good idea as makes it a lot lighter than the heavy metal ones, plus the fleece mat it comes with is great.

Ordered the 34″ cage to accommodate a working cocker spaniel puppy who won’t grow taller than 17″. It arrived the next day which was a surprise. I drive a Nissan Qashqai 2016 model and other crates didn’t seem to accommodate the slope of the back seats and slope of the boot window. This fits perfectly with space down one side for a bag of shopping & a pair of wellies. It’s about as high as the head rests but doesn’t obstruct my vision out of the back window so I’m very pleased. Also pushed back against the rear seats also leaves a good amount of room so I can slide open the crate and the dog has some space to climb out rather than having to jump straight out of the boot. I have not removed the plates that create the false floor in the boot as I like my shopping bags/blanket etc stored under there, the crate is light enough that can still lift one plate a couple of inches to pull my bags out. I suspect the 36″ would fit but this will be big enough without losing all the boot space. Like other reviewers I have notice a slight rattle but husband has been given the task of figuring out where the little plastic grommets go so by the weekend this minor problem may have disappeared. The waterproof base of the crate is fabric and there is a thin cushion on top of that (which was a nice touch). We will probably line the boot and put some vet bed in the crate but it’s probably not needed. All in all very happy with the purchase and delivery time.

Excellent service. Dog cage delivered by DPD at 8.30 am next day. 34 inch universal fitted my Toyota Yaris and big enough for my medium sized working Cocker Spaniel. Sliding door is a real help to get him in and out. Would have liked the floor to have been more solid as he has managed to tear the floor by scratching it after 3 journeys, but still a good cage.
